Junior pitcher Kylie Bass and junior center fielder Jazmine Washington were both named to the first team, coach Blake Lyons said.
Bass was 22-5 with one save for the Lady Hounds, who were 28-7 in 2013. The lefty had a 1.201 earned run average with 186 strikeouts and only 14 walks in 169 innings. She allowed 120 hits and only 29 earned runs during the season. She hit 16 batters.
Bass, who was the team’s MVP and Region 2-AAAAA’s pitcher of the year, also batted .330 with nine doubles and 25 RBIs for the season.
