Two popular community events are making a comeback this week with a wine tasting Thursday and bingo at the Lions Club Friday.

Jones County Cultural Arts Network is hosting a wine tasting at Kema’s Hobby Bookstore Thursday, Sept. 19, at 5:30 p.m. Kema’s Bookstore is located on Atlanta Road in downtown Gray.

The wine tasting is an opportunity to socialize and network with others interested in being educated about fine wines. One of the best discoveries at past events is good wines do not have to be expensive.

Interesting conversation is always a byproduct of the event, and it is easy to find a good book or two for later. There is no charge to attend, but donations to JCCAN will be accepted.

Bingo is back at the Lions Club Friday, Sept. 20. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the first game begins at 7. A spaghetti dinner will be available prior to the bingo for $6.

The proceeds of this week’s charity event will be used to replenish the funds of the event’s founding agency, Changing Stations Ministry. All money raised by the ministry is used for the benefit of people in need in Jones County.
