After Tuesday's ballots were tallied, Gus Wilson was named the new mayor of the City of Gray with 62 percent of the votes..

For the Mayor pro tem race, there will be a runoff Dec. 1 to decide between Rooster Cogburn and Loretta Lipsey. Lipsey fell short of the majority required to win with 49.3 percent.

District One councilman David Tufts held onto his seat by a 29-vote margin.

Russell Thompson won in District Four outright with no need for a runoff. He captured 53 percent of the vote.

Voter turnout was 36 percent, with 582 turning out of a total 1,617 registered voters.
