Derek Tillman officially became an Eagle Scout Oct. 6 and was recognized at the Dec. 4 Board of Commissioners meeting for his assistance to residents of Dulles Park. Tillman’s project was the construction of a sidewalk in front of the senior apartment complex connecting to the Gateway Shopping Center.
Chairman Preston Hawkins presented Tillman with a proclamation. The document states that the Eagle Scout is a member of BSA Troop 911 and earned 25 merit badges in his quest for the rank.
Tillman has been a member of the Boy Scouts for 11 years.
