Adult Education lead teacher and Family Connection board member Marilyn Norfleet led the meeting due to the absence of Chairman Donald Black.
Collaborative coordinator Joy Carr spoke first at the May 20 meeting with a report of the May 2 Day of Prayer observance in Jones County. The observance took place early morning at the W.E. Knox Center with a breakfast and then a community prayer service.
Carr said approximately 50 attended.
The coordinator said she recently graduated from the Georgia Academy for Economic Development.
“I made some good contacts and received lots of information,” she said.
