Four men arrested after presenting fake checks from city

These checks drawn on the city’s water and sewer account were taken from the four suspects arrested last week.
Warren Bernard Long, 50, Anthony Ramond Light, 35, Michael Douglas Scott Sr., 56, and David Brian Campbell, 36, were arrested Oct. 21. Light is charged with forgery in the first degree, and the other three are charged with being a party to the crime of forgery.
Capt. Leo Sweet of the Gray Police Department said a similar forgery case occurred this past January, and the suspects were not caught.
“These are the same type of counterfeit checks, but the tellers were on top of it,” Sweet stated.
