But they didn’t fare as well against the rain and region foe Houston County at home last Thursday.
Adam Sole scored both goals for Jones County against Northside, with an assist from Cade Brownlee on one and Ethan Oulsnam on the other. That victory made the Greyhounds 4-0-1 on the season.
But at home against Houston County on Thursday, the Greyhounds trailed 5-2 when the contest, played in a steady, cold rain, was halted at halftime by the referees due to “unplayable conditions.”
Coach Duane Kitchens said the match will be completed on Wednesday when Jones County visits Houston County for a junior varsity game.
The Lady Hounds were able to complete their game against Houston at home last Thursday, falling 9-1. Kaitlyn Towers scored Jones County’s only goal, with an assist by Meghan Brennan, coach Corey Tanner reported.
