The depiction consisted of outdoor scenes of the life of Jesus from his birth, death, resurrection, and then demonstrated the results of following Jesus’ example with two contemporary scenes.
Bradley Baptist’s first Easter drama took place in 2010. Linda Garden is in charge of the drama and considers it a ministry of the church.
The people in the scenes are not actors. They are members of Bradley Baptist and are way out of their comfort zones. Garden said it is amazing how God takes willing hearts and uses them for his glory.
The actors are only a portion of the story. Many more people are behind the scenes, working on lighting, costumes, props, taking care of publicity, preparing and serving refreshments, manning the prayer tent, and so much more. Approximately 165 volunteers were involved in this year’s production and donated over 3,000 hours in preparation for the production.
