Jones County improved to 3-1 overall. It was the Region 2-AAAA opener for both schools.
Juhan helped the Greyhounds overcome a sloppy and scoreless first quarter, rushing for 89 of his 111 yards in the second period, and JoJo Gibbons started the second half with an 84-yard kickoff return to the 1 to ignite the Jones County offense. He ran around left end for the touchdown on the next play.
The defense allowed Greenbrier to move the ball at times, surrendering 152 yards rushing and 92 passing, but the Greyhounds stiffened when needed and took advantage of six turnovers to hand the Wolfpack its third consecutive shutout loss.
In those three games, Greenbrier, now 0-4, has surrendered more than 40 points each time while failing to score itself.
Now comes a much sterner test for the Greyhounds. They host sixth-ranked Warner Robins on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Greyhound Field.
