Jones County (12-13-1) lost to Houston County 2-0 at home on Tuesday to finish the regular season as the second seed from the B subregion. Grovetown (10-13) defeated Lakeside-Evans 7-4 to finish as the third seed from the A subregion.
The third game in the best-of-three series, if needed, will be at Jones County on Monday afternoon.
In other first-round matchups, Houston County hosts Lakeside-Evans, Greenbrier hosts Warner Robins and Evans hosts Northside-Warner Robins. The winners of the first-round series qualify for the state playoffs and advance to the region final four double-elimination tournament to be held next Wednesday and Thursday in Augusta.
