After an extended road trip, Jones County’s David Jones is back home and getting ready to perform soon in Milledgeville.

Rehab will be at Cowboys June 27, and the opening acts for the show include another Jones Countian, Dylan Avant.

Jones said he has not performed in Middle Georgia for a while, and he enjoys being back home. Tickets for the show can be purchased at Old Clinton Gas in Gray for $13. He said tickets can always be bought at the door the night of the event, but they may be a little more. The doors open at 8.

Jones said his latest tour was in the West, but he luckily missed the bad weather.

“We were in Salt Lake City when the tornado crushed Oklahoma,” he said.

The performer said one reason the group is back in Georgia is to finish their next album “Million Dollar Mug Shot” that will be released in the fall.

“We had fun with this one,” he said.

Jones said all the songs are written by him and Danny (Boone) Alexander, and he is more involved overall on this album.
