Could Jones County be the next big destination for antiquing?

Five very nice antique and consignment stores go a long way toward answering that question in the affirmative. Calico Corners at Reflections, Pieces of the Past and More, Treasures by the Tracks, Regan’s Gallery, and Trish Ann’s all lie within our community and have a lot to offer.

Located at 4141 Gray Highway, Calico Corners is a consignment shop nestled in with tanning beds and a full service salon. It is unique in its consolidation of these services under one roof. Mylar helium balloons are also availble for every occasion.

In their first year they had 200 consigners. Owned by Gary Benton and managed by Lynn Withrow, they still have people walk in and say, “We didn’t know you were here.”

Withrow shared her favorite part of working there.

“I just love my consigners and customers. I have come across some of the sweetest people while working here.” Withrow can be reached at 986-3371, extension 3.

Cynthia Lawler opened Pieces of the Past and More at 111 Atlanta Road in downtown Gray July 2 of last year. A lifetime resident of Jones County, she previously owned a store called Peddler’s Thrift from 2008-10. Lawler is the owner and dealer.
