Mayor Stephen Tingen introduced Marvin Wilmoth and Anthony Ceroy with the Miller-Valentine Group at the March 10 meeting of the city’s Plan Committee.
The property for the proposed development is located behind the Senior Center and is owned by T.J. Heath and Jimmy Goolsby. Heath said the property has previously been under contract and he has had numerous inquiries from other firms.
“Gray is attractive for this type of deal, especially with the Senior Center next to it. The Miller-Valentine Group has done a market study, and there is no doubt the development will be for seniors,” he said.
The purpose of the presentation to the mayor and council was to solicit a letter of support to accompany the group’s application to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for the purchase of tax credits to finance the project.
