The grassroots organization met June 27 at Central Georgia Technical College’s state-of-the-art facility in Milledgeville and listened to presenters talk about infrastructure, downtown development, zoning, law enforcement, education, local government, and housing.
The group did all that and was still out by 2 p.m.
The meeting was led by chairman Ted Stone, and at the end of the meeting, new officers were elected.
Steve Smith was selected as chairman, and Stone was persuaded to stay on the roster as vice chairman. Joy Carr agreed to be the new secretary/treasurer.
Sponsors who donated to PLAN include Morris Bank, Advance Auto, O’Reilly Auto Parts, State Bank, Robins Federal Credit Union, The Jones County News and the Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce.
