Sauls
Ashley Sauls is considered number two in the RICO case that included 14 defendants who were arrested Feb. 1, in connection with what was called the biggest methamphetamine distribution organization in Middle Georgia.
The defendant appeared before Judge James Cline Oct. 25 again asking for a reduction of her bond. Sauls was in court Feb. 9, a week after her arrest requesting bond but it was denied by Judge Lee Parrott.
She was back April 12 and agreed to a $300,000 cash bond. June 21 Sauls and her attorney, Bernadetta Crucilla, came to court again asking Chief Superior Court Judge William Prior for a reduction in the bond or at least a change to allow it to be a commercial bond.
Crucilla asked the bond be reduced to what she categorized as a reasonable amount. The attorney explained, when her client agreed to the $300,000 cash bond, she did not realize it meant only cash.
