Several Jones County athletes have been honored for their performances during the spring by The Macon Telegraph with inclusion on its All-Middle Georgia teams.

In baseball, first baseman Coleman Greene and shortstop Cody Lanford were named first team All-Middle Georgia, pitcher Hudson Jacobs was named second team, and second baseman Cody Evans, third baseman/pitcher Eric Coleman and catcher Cole Thompson were named honorable mention.

In boys’ track and field, All-Middle Georgia performers were Antwaun Poole in the 400 meters and the 4-by-400 relay team of Poole, Trevor Shuler, Marquis Curry and Devlin Patrick.

To be All-Middle Georgia, the athlete or team had to have the best time or mark in the state meet among all Middle Georgia performers. To be honorable mention, they had to be among the next best five in either the state meet or a region meet.
