A golf tournament scheduled for the end of this month will help raise funds for the Greyhound Football Program for the coming school year.

The tournament will be held at Lake Jonesco Golf Course July 30 and is hosted by the Jones County Touchdown Club.

The format will be a two-person scramble with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. Cash prizes will be paid for the top three teams and the entry fee is $40 per player. The entry fee includes the cart, greens fee, and a lunch that will be provided following the completion of the tournament.

Those interested in playing in the tournament for a day of fun as well as supporting football in Jones County are urged to sign up early to ensure a spot for their team. To sign up, contact Guy Mosteller at (478) 808-7111 or (478) 986-6632.
