Deputy Miller and Deputy Allen responded to Morris Stevens Road in reference to violation of a good behavior warrant. The complainant said the offender and his son came to the complainant’s residence demanding money for work for which the son had already been paid. The offender left, spinning the tires of his vehicle and cursing out the window. The offender had been served with a good behavior warrant in July and was advised not to have any contact with the complainant for six months. Miller located the offender and placed him under arrest for violation of the warrant and criminal trespass.

Sgt. Garner was traveling on Gray Highway when he observed a vehicle traveling 79 mph in a 55-mph zone. The sergeant initiated a traffic stop, and while speaking with the driver, Garner noticed the smell of alcoholic beverage. The driver said he had three beers earlier and consented to a roadside breath test which registered positive for alcohol. The driver then failed a field sobriety test and was placed under arrest for DUI. He advised that there was a pistol in the truck, and it was taken into evidence due to the fact that the offender was a convicted felon. At the LEC, the offender gave a blood-alcohol reading of .081 grams and was charged with DUI, speeding, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
