HADDOCK: Henry Hubert Bonner Sr., 89, of Ethridge Road, died Aug. 15, 2012, at his residence. The family greeted friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, graveside, at Haddock Baptist Church Cemetery, with Dr. Ron McClung officiating.

Mr. Bonner, the son of the late Luther E. Bonner and Tommie Brantley Bonner, was born on April 7, 1923, in Haddock, and had lived there his entire life. He was the owner and operator of Bonner’s Minnow Farm until his retirement in 1980 and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Mr. Bonner had the longest membership of Haddock Baptist Church, having been a member since 1936. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Ruth “Bootsie” Martin Bonner.

Mr. Bonner is survived by his wife of 27 years, Jane Bonner; daughter and son-in-law, Betty B. and Mike Groves; son and daughter-in-law, Henry H. and Cinda Bonner Jr.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and by several in-laws, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Haddock Baptist Church Building Fund, 180 Ethridge Road, Haddock, GA 31033 or Serenity Hospice, 2601 N. Columbia St., Milledgeville, GA 31061.
