NFI Installation Inc. began doing business in 1988 as National Fabrication Inc. The company moved to Georgia in 2010 and purchased 15 acres in Griswoldville Park that December.
According to the company’s website, www.nfiinstall.com, the primary focus of the company has been to create the smartest, most efficient mechanical installation company possible. During its more than 20 years of operation, the company has developed an extensive background in industrial plant construction as well as material handling projects and has served industries ranging from power utilities, wood treating facilities, aggregate and coal mines to distribution terminals.
NFI Installation is owned by Alan Nippert, and the company originated in Oregon. The owner explained that the company deals with coal and the equipment that handles it, helping to get the coal from point A to point B. He said they serve a niche market because they are willing to go in and do the work that others are not willing or able to do.
Nippert explained that, when the coal plants were constructed approximately 50 years ago, they were not built to last this long. Nuclear energy was expected to take over the industry. Since that did not happen and coal is still being used, equipment in those plants needs to be repaired and updated.
