The rally is planned Thursday, Oct. 4, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and Jones County Commission Chairman Preston Hawkins and State Senate District 25 candidate Bobby Gale will be featured speakers. The public is encouraged to attend.
A press release from Jones County Republican Party Chairman Kimberly Schwartz states that the campaign headquarters, located at 250 West Clinton Street, across the highway from Ingles Supermarket, opened several weeks ago, and party members are excited.
“This is the first time we’ve had an actual physical location for our campaign activities. Our office is designed to be a place that supports all of our Republican candidates running in local, state, and federal elections this November,” Schwartz said. “We have plenty of free yard signs, bumper stickers, and other campaign materials available, and we just want to encourage all Jones County residents to stop by, visit with us, and learn more about the candidates and the Republican Party and its core values.”
The chairman said the hours the Jones GOP office is open are Tuesdays 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Wednesdays 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.; Thursdays 1 to 3 p.m.; and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
