Eric Song retired from the military in 2008 with 20 years of service and moved back to Jones County, as he promised his wife they would when they left in 1988.
The number of questions he has fielded from young people who are considering joining the military gave him an idea for a unique business that could make a huge difference in the future of his clients.
Song is a Jones County High School graduate. He said about six months ago he started compiling information.
“I found out the top reason young people join the military is benefits. I want to help them make a good decision. I don’t work for or against joining the military or any branch of service,” he said.
Song’s military career includes tours in Alaska, Germany, Iraq, the Pentagon, Fort Knox, and Fort Benning. He said he began as a mechanic and finished his career as a master sergeant working in personnel.
