Thanksgiving is around the corner and the Rattlers’ annual holiday event is even sooner.

The Gray Rattlers Men’s Club will have their community Thanksgiving meal this Saturday assisted by Jordan’s Chapel Sisters of Strength. The purpose of the event is to make sure everyone has the opportunity to partake of a Thanksgiving dinner.

Club president Leo Sweet said the meals will be available at the City of Gray Fire Station on James Street beginning at 11 a.m., Nov. 17, and the food is free to all needy families.

“This includes anyone who just wants a plate,” Sweet added.

The sponsors this year so far are Kevin Patel and Days Inn and Joe Partenza and Ingles Market.
