Mr. Theriault was born Dec. 10, 1948, in Lawrence, Mass., and had lived in the Middle Georgia area for the past 25 years. He honorably served his country as an air traffic controller with the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Mr. Theriault was a former deputy sheriff, serving in Key West, Fla., and also worked for the Federal Aviation Administration. He retired in 2000, and joined his wife in the operations of the family business, DeLong’s Gizzard Equipment. Mr. Theriault also served with the Jones County Volunteer Fire and Rescue for 11 years, as well as working as an EMT on the ambulance crew for The Medical Center of Central Georgia. He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Chase.
Mr. Theriault is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patricia Theriault; son, Bobby Harris; daughters and sons-in-law, Sabrina Theriault, Susan Theriault, Dawn Nickles, Carrie and Adam Smith and Mary and Robb Murray; father, Arthur Paul Theriault; mother, Mildred Pearl Gosselin; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill Theriault and Eldon and Jan Chase; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lyn and Kevin O’Brien and Cheryl and Steven Camire; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Greenwood Baptist Church Youth, 3400 Gray Highway, Gray, GA 31032.
