Seven members of the Jones County football team received all-region honors as voted on by the 2-AAAAA coaches last week.

Named to the first team were senior offensive guard Jackson Williamson, senior tight end Jared Johnson, senior running back Undre Williams and senior defensive end/outside linebacker Doug West.

Picked for the second team were senior linebacker Austin Petrosky, junior safety Jo Jo Gibbons and sophomore fullback Walker Juhan.

Williamson and Williams have also been chosen to play in the North-South All-Star Classic game in Columbus on Dec. 29 hosted by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association, according to Jones County coach Dwight Smith.

Earlier, it was announced that Williamson, Johnson, West, Petrosky and senior cornerback A.J. Williams had been selected to play in the GSA All-Star Senior Bowl in Macon on Dec. 22.

Northside-Warner Robins, which was the region champion and advanced to the state semifinals, dominated the all-region team with 16 total selections, including offensive player of the year Keshun Hill, defensive player of the year Austin Roberts and coach of the year Kevin Kinsler.
