GRAY: Juanita Lorraine Parker, 75, widow of Charlie Parker, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Lynn Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center. The family greeted friends one hour prior to a 1:00 p.m. funeral service, Saturday, Jan. 19, at Gray Church of God, with interment at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray. The Rev. Joey Hamrick officiated.

Mrs. Parker was born Jan. 9, 1938, in Hazlehurst. She was the daughter of the late Roy Lee Anderson and Susie Rowell Anderson. Mrs. Parker was a longtime member of Gray Church of God, where she served in many positions, including 19 years as church clerk. She was retired from the Jones County Board of Education Nutrition Department.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Lori Parker of Gray and Donald and Mary Disharoon of Beaufort, S.C.; granddaughters, Diane Peeples and her husband Ashley, and Rebecca Disharoon; one great-grandson; and by her siblings, Lucille Taylor, Martha Lairsey, Louise Anderson, Elmer Anderson and Lamar Anderson, all of Hazlehurst.
