Mrs. Black, the daughter of the late Paul Martin Flanigan Sr. and Lillian Elsie Derbyshire Flanigan, was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on April 12, 1943, and had lived in Macon for the past 35 years. She was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia and was a district sales manager for Avon, working with the company for over 50 years. Mrs. Black was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, was a member and past president of the Middle Georgia Camera Club, was a member of Networking for Women in Business, and served as director of photography for both the Georgia National Fair and the Georgia State Fair. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Flanigan.
Mrs. Black is survived by her devoted husband of 27 years, Clifford Hugh Black; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Akridge and Laura and Doyle Mullis; son, Frank Kane; granddaughter, Lillian Akridge; and by her brothers, Paul M. Flanigan Jr., Raymond Flanigan and Dennis Flanigan.
