Mr. Baston was born Dec. 24, 1946, in Macon, and had spent most of his life in the Middle Georgia area. He was the son of the late Charles W. “Charlie” Baston Sr. and Mary Booth Baston. Mr. Baston was a veteran of Vietnam, having served eight years with the U.S. Army, and another four years with the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from the United States Postal Service and was preceded in death by two brothers, Otto Booth and Charles W. Baston Jr.
Mr. Baston is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Lauren Carmichael and Jessie and Wade Hall; grandchildren, Mackenzie Carmichael, Christian Carmichael and Wyatt Hall; and by his brothers, Jerry Baston and Rusty Baston.
The family may be contacted on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the residence at 3324 Joycliff Road in Jones County.
