Willie Bernard Marshall was sentenced to 20 years for each two counts of burglary. The sentences will run concurrent for a total of 20 years and may be served on probation. The court sentenced Marshall as a recidivist.
Marshall is tied to four separate incidents involving burglaries of storage buildings in Jones County from Aug. 16, 2008, to Oct. 22, 2008. He was indicted by a grand jury for seven counts of burglary in February of 2011.
In a report by Deputy Dustin Harris Aug. 16, 2008, thefts from several storage units located in a facility on Joycliff Road were reported and miscellaneous items missing.
Capt. James Clark filed a report Sept. 3, 2008, concerning thefts in a storage facility on Mattie Wells Drive. A surveillance video at the facility showed a red Ford Explorer involved and a short male driver.
