The Lady Hounds scored 88.5 points to finish behind Tucker with 106 and First Presbyterian with 92 in the 12-school meet.
The Greyhounds had 37 points against the nine other schools in the boys’ meet. Lamar County was first with 123 points, followed by Mary Persons with 105.
Jasmine Standifer won two individual events – the 200 meters in 26.46 seconds and the 400 in 59.23 seconds – and was on Jones County’s first place 4-by-100 relay team and second place 4-by-400 relay team to lead the Lady Hounds.
The 4-by-100 team, which also included Victoria Dumas, Jalisa Price and Jalisa Hammock, had a winning time of 51.29 seconds. The 4-by-400 team, with Dumas, Kate Boland and Amber Goolsby joining Standifer, ran a 4:24.01 to finish second to Tucker, which had a time of 4:16.78.
Dumas also excelled in individual events, winning the 300-meter hurdles in 48.54 seconds and placing second in the 100 hurdles in 17.19 seconds.
