The Jones County junior varsity baseball team won two of three games last week, whipping Veterans 15-0 on Monday and Upson-Lee 10-0 on Thursday at home, but they also suffered their first loss of the season, losing 16-6 at Houston County on Tuesday.

Coach Chris Martin said Keaton Gordon pitched a complete-game shutout against Upson-Lee. He also went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the offense, along with Alex Bass and Zack Griffin, both 2-for-3, and Harrison Bryant, who was 2-for-2.

The Hounds managed only six hits at Houston County, with Lonnie Anderson taking the loss on the mound. Chandler Ramage went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.

No details were available on the Veterans game.

The Hounds were to host Houston County on Wednesday and Warner Robins next Monday.
