The Jones County Public Library and the Jones County Lions Club are joining forces this weekend to offer a free vision screening opportunity to anyone who feels like they may need glasses.

The April 27 vision screening will be held at the Lions Club located on Highway 18 East, approximately one mile from Gray’s city limits. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m.

Volunteers will be assisting attendees with the use of vision screening machines provided by the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation. If the results of the screening indicate that an eye test is needed, individuals will be directed to an eye care professional.

It is important for people who already wear glasses but want to have their vision screened to bring their current glasses with them.

Everyone attending the screening will be asked to complete an eye health risk assessment sheet before the actual vision screening takes place. Results of the screening will be made available upon completion.
