The Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce’s Eggs and Issues event held April 17 at Healy Point was an uncategorized success with all four of Jones County’s Legislative Delegation in attendance.

Following a delicious breakfast prepared by the country club, delegation members answered questions delivered by John Conn.

State Reps. Susan Holmes and Bubber Epps are familiar faces at Jones County events, but the gathering was an opportunity for attendees to meet State Sens. Burt Jones and David Lucas.

Jones attended Jones County’s Candidate Forum during his 2012 campaign, but this was the first visit to a chamber event by Lucas since his Senate pursuit.

Jones was the first up for questions and was asked about the change in the grade point requirement for the Hope Scholarship for technical college students. The requirement was lowered from 3.0 to 2.0.
