Coach Dennis Woolfolk said he had about 35 boys in his basketball camp, down a bit after narrowing the age group to those in or approaching middle school.
“We had the younger kids, too, last year, and it was too many. We’ll do another camp for them in the fall just before the youth basketball league begins play,” he said.
Tuesday Woolfolk, who was being helped by his assistant coaches and several varsity and junior varsity players, had his campers working on ball handling and dribbling.
Coach Blake Lyons and his high school assistants and the middle school coaches were working with 72 girls in the softball camp on Tuesday morning, working on hitting, fielding, pitching and other fundamentals.
A number of current and former Lady Hound softball players were also helping with the annual camp.
