The Gray Station Hounds whipped Rehoboth Road Middle School of Griffin 33-6 at home last Tuesday to advance to the championship game of the Central Georgia Middle School Athletic League.

The Hounds, who are 8-0, play at Manchester at 5 p.m. on Wednesday for the title.

Manchester advanced with a 28-6 home victory over Clifton Ridge last Wednesday. The Cougars finished the season with a 6-2 record.

“We had a great team effort and played well against Rehoboth,” Gray Station coach Travis Lawson said. “The boys have worked really hard this year, and we are looking forward to the championship game. But Manchester is really tough and has some very big boys. It will be a tough game over there, but we’ll go and do our best.

Drake Bolus scored three touchdowns and Corlin Williams added two to lead the Gray Station offense last week. Josh Skinner kicked the extra points.

Defensive leaders were Coleman Roberts, Trey Poore, Cameron Douberly, Christian Veal and Tyler Williams, Lawson said. For the full story, pick up a copy of this week's newspaper or subscribe to our e-Edition at http://ee.jcnews.com.
