The Gray Station boys won the Central Georgia Middle School Athletic League football championship and the Lady Hounds finished second in softball last week to wrap up a fantastic fall season for the school.

The Hounds went on the road to whip Manchester 41-26 in the football championship game last Wednesday.

Drake Bolus caught a touchdown pass from Dustin Hostetter, threw one to Coleman Roberts, returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown and ran for two more scores to lead the Hounds. Roberts also returned a fumble for another touchdown, and Josh Skinner kicked several extra points for Gray Station.

“It was a great game,” coach Travis Lawson said. “The crowd was amazing. We had twice as many fans as they did, and it was a two-hour drive for us.

“I’m very proud of our boys. They worked really hard all season and again last week to get ready for a tough Manchester team. It was a great season.”

It was the fourth championship in football for the Hounds. They also have three runner-up finishes.
