Georgia’s top Dawg is returning to Gray next month to help raise money for the Ferst Foundation and have a book signing at Kema’s Hobby Bookstore.

Vince Dooley’s visit Dec. 4 will be the third time the Jones County Rotary Club has hosted the legendary Georgia football coach. This event will be held in the auditorium of Gray United Methodist Church and will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tickets to the luncheon are $20 and may be purchased from any Rotary Club members, Exchange Bank, Harveys Supermarket, the Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce, and Kema’s Hobby Bookstore.

The money raised at the luncheon will be used to provide monthly books to more Jones County youngsters through the Ferst Foundation. That effort is championed in Jones County by the Rotary Club and specifically Rotarian Hoyt Brown.

Following the luncheon, Dooley will be at the bookstore from 1:30-3:30 signing books and meeting his fans. He is the author of Dooley: My 40 Years at Georgia, Dooley’s Playbook: The 34 Most Memorable Plays in Georgia Football, Vince Dooley’s Garden: A Horticultural Journey of a Football Coach, and his most recent book, History and Reminiscences of the University of Georgia.

Dooley will have copies of his books with him at the bookstore, plus hats, shirts, and Steve Penley art prints.
