The grappling Greyhounds got off to a good start on the season, finishing second last Saturday in the Crisp County Duals.

Coach Jacob Crook said he was pleased with the performance of his team, considering a good number of those who wrestled had just finished football season and hadn’t had a lot of practice time.

“Hopefully we’ll do even better as the guys get in wrestling shape,” he said.

Tim Randolph (126 pounds), Scott Rooks (220) and Dee Waller (285) each went 5-0 in the event to lead the Greyhounds.

Seth Killgo (145), Torrez Finney Jr. (182) and Daniel Curry (195) all were 4-1, Nick Nelson (138) was 3-1, and Tyler Dukes (132), Jequelle Griffin (138) and Darrell Lee Duggan (170) were all 3-2 in their matches.
