The Clifton Ridge boys whipped the Gray Station boys for the second time this season, but the Gray Station girls avenged their earlier loss to the Lady Cougars when the cross-county rivals met last Tuesday at Gray Station.

The Lady Hounds rallied in the closing minutes to go ahead on a basket by Jasmine Green, and Tykerria Richardson hit a free throw with 13.3 seconds remaining to ice the 23-20 victory.

Green led the Lady Hounds with nine points, and Shanieya Hudson added four.

Sydney Lanford led the Lady Cougars with six points and Chelsea James added five.

The two teams were tied 10-10 at halftime, but Gray Station forged ahead to take a 15-12 lead into the fourth quarter. But Clifton Ridge came back to go ahead before Gray Station made its final rally.

Clifton Ridge had edged the Lady Hounds 15-11 earlier this season.
