The Jones County golf teams swept a pair of matches last week, winning at The Landings on Tuesday against Northside-Warner Robins and at Lake Jonesco on Thursday against Washington County and Mary Persons, coach Jeff Williams reported.

The boys downed Northside 170-183, with Zach Haney taking low medalist honors with a 39. Kolton McNeal added a 40, Drew Dobson a 42 and Cole Evans a 49 for the Greyhounds.

For Northside, Bobby Hines and Cody Lamontange each shot 45, Colin Peavy 47 and Payton Couillard 48.

The Lady Hounds won 136-176. Charli Justice shot 43, Mo Veal 46 and Bree Comer 47 for Jones County, and Shelly Vyas shot 53, Mia Ochoa 55 and Lauren McDearmind 58 for the Lady Eagles.

In Thursday’s home match, the Greyhounds scored 164, Mary Persons 173 and Washington County 271.

McNeal was low man for Jones County with a 38, Haney and Brannen Meadows both shot 40, and Dobson was next at 46.
