The Jones County boys finished third and the girls fourth in the Friday Night Lights track meet hosted by Lamar County last Friday in Barnesville.

Finishing first for the Greyhounds were Justin Clausell in the 400 meters with a time of 51.64 seconds, and Edregas O’Neal in the shot put with a heave of 44 feet, 2.5 inches.

Winners for the Lady Hounds were Tia Mallory in the 800 meters with a time of 2:14.16, and the 4-by-400 relay team with a 4:18.38.

The Jones County girls scored 75.5 points to finish behind Fayette County at 112, Spalding at 84.5 and Fitzgerald at 80 in the 10-school field.

Eight boys’ teams competed, with host Lamar County winning with 177 points, followed by Fitzgerald with 146 and Jones County with 101.
