JONES COUNTY: Mary Minter Lovaasen, 63, of Kitchens Road, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at her residence. The family greeted friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray. Funeral services are being held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home, with interment at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Jones County. The Rev. Alesia O’Reilly is officiating.

Mrs. Lovaasen was born Dec. 18, 1950, in Gray, and had lived in Jones County for the past 20 years. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Minter and Edna Allen Minter and was retired as a cashier for Papa John’s Convenience Stores.

Mrs. Lovaasen is survived by her husband of 20 years, David Albert Lovaasen; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Alon Grimsley; son, Perry Wood; granddaughters and spouse, Selina and Nick Grimes and Ashley Wood; grandsons, Jesse Lee, George “Peanut” Grimsley and Scotty Wood; two great-grandchildren; and by a special friend, Annice Nobles.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Hospice Care Options, 486 New St., Macon, GA 31201.
