The award was presented to Graham at the agency’s 55th annual summit held in Savannah.
Graham was appointed Jones County’s EMA director and fire Chief in 2009 by the Jones County Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Tommy Robinson is the chairman of the county’s EMA Committee and has worked closely with Graham. After hearing about the award, he commented that the director has been a tremendous asset to the citizens of Jones County.
“Don brings with him his seemingly unrelenting energy, fortitude, and fervent love for emergency management. He has constantly exceeded the call of duty and is very adept at planning, recruiting, and training,” the commissioner said.
He added that Jones County is very blessed to have such a professional and dedicated individual on board.
