The PLAN meeting will be held June 27 at the Central Georgia Technical College campus in Milledgeville located on Highway 22 West. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the session is scheduled to end at 2 p.m.
Lunch will be provided and there is no cost for the session. Reservations would be appreciated by June 21 in order to have a head count and may be made by calling Brandi Lang at the Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce at 986-1123.
PLAN membership is open to anyone who has a desire to work toward making their community a better place to live.
Due to health issues of PLAN Chairman Ted Stone earlier this year, the annual PLAN retreat was postponed. Stone’s health has now improved, and getting a PLAN meeting together was a priority. The June 27 meeting will be a mini-retreat and there are many issues to be covered.
Next Friday’s presentations will include information from the Georgia Department of Transportation about the construction of the North Gray Bypass that is currently under way after being on the drawing board for three decades and a recently proposed traffic roundabout for the area of the four-way stop at the end of the Bill Conn Jr. Parkway.
