A Gordon man was in Jones County Superior Court last week to plead guilty to crimes he committed in Gray and Gordon.

Timothy Urain Bell was sentenced to 10 years probation with one year to serve in prison. He was arrested March 19 in Gray with two other men and charged with robbery by force. At that time he was out on bond for three counts of possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm in Wilkinson County.

The date of the Wilkinson County case was Oct. 16, 2013.

Bell was in Jones County Superior Court June 19 to plead guilty to both cases. Wilkinson County prosecutor Brent Cochran was the first up. He told the court that the Gordon Police Department was called to a mobile home park because of a suspicious vehicle at the location.

When the officer arrived, Bell ran. Marijuana was found inside the car, and when the suspect came back to his car, he was arrested.

Bell pled guilty June 19 and received 10 years probation for the Wilkinson County case.
