The called meeting took less than five minutes with only one item to consider, the sale of Gray Police surplus patrol vehicles. The vote was unanimous to approve the sale.
The meeting of all city committees began at the adjournment of the called meeting and started with the Water and Sewer committee.
Chairman Benny Gray said the city and county need to come to an agreement about where the boundaries are for providing water and sewer service around the bypass. He said, since work has begun on the project, the time is at hand to make the decision.
“It looks like we are boxed in. The county is running waterlines out Gray Highway and they plan to put a water storage tank in Bradley,” Gray said.
The chairman said council members need to be in agreement before they have a meeting with the county.
