The store is located in downtown Gray at 154 W. Clinton St., in the building commonly known as the old post office that sits across the street from the W.E. Knox Center. The idea of opening a boutique sprang from the lack of local availability of boutique clothing for her daughters Anna and Katie, who will both be working in the new store.
Giberson said she started buying what she and her daughters liked with the thought of selling what she did not want. That idea quickly snowballed into a business.
The owner has lived in Gray for 28 years and works full time as a manager at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
The boutique opened briefly in another location that did not work out. Giberson said, when she closed out her booth at a local consignment mall, she started getting calls at home from customers wanting to buy clothes.
Beyond the Boutique had a soft opening Aug. 2, and the hours of operation are Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
