Deputy Jenkins responded to Etheridge Drive in reference to suspicious activity. The complainant said that on her way home she passed a vehicle containing two males traveling on Etheridge Drive. When the complainant arrived home, a witness told her that the men in that truck had been going through her mail. The complainant requested extra patrols in the area.

Sergeant McCollum was dispatched to the Department of Family and Children’s Services in reference to a disorderly person. Upon arrival, the sergeant learned that the offender was upset because she could not get her food stamps until some paperwork was corrected. The offender had been cursing at the employees in the office. McCollum spoke to the offender and tried to re-inform her of the situation, but she was still upset. The offender was advised not to return to the office and that the paperwork would be corrected over the phone.

Officer Hunnicutt observed a vehicle roll through a stop sign and slam on brakes in the middle of the four-way stop on Atlanta Road. The officer then noticed the vehicle running off of the shoulder of the road several times. A traffic stop was initiated, and Hunnicutt noticed the odors of both alcohol and marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The driver showed signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test as well as a roadside breath test. The offender admitted to having recently smoked both marijuana and crack cocaine. She was placed under arrest and transported to the LEC, where she consented to a urine test. The offender was charged with DUI—controlled substance, DUI—marijuana, DUI drugs—less safe, failure to stop at stop sign, and failure to maintain lane.

Sgt. Garner responded to North Street in reference to a verbal dispute. The complainant said she was sitting in the middle of the road on her bicycle when the offender struck her with his car. The driver of the vehicle said that the complainant was sitting in the middle of the intersection when she passed by in her car, and the complainant had acted as if the car had struck her. There was no visible damage to the bicycle or the complainant. A check of the complainant’s name and date of birth showed that she was wanted out of Crisp County. The offender was arrested and transported to the sheriff’s office to await pickup.

Officer Farley responded to Pinewood Drive in reference to damage to property. The complainant said someone had sprayed a red substance on three of his vehicle. The substance appeared to be fake blood from some kind of Halloween kit. The complainant did not know exactly what time the incident occurred. Farley advised that extra patrols would be carried out in the area.
