According to the University of Georgia, blueberries are becoming increasingly popular due to their delicious and healthy fruit. Among other things, they are high in antioxidants, have anti-aging activity, promote healthy urinary tracts, improve vision and help fight heart disease. With a little effort, these “wonder berries” can be produced by home gardeners throughout Georgia.

If you are interested in learning more about blueberries or have questions related to blueberries/blueberry production, then come the Blueberry Production Program on March 19 at 10 am. at the Jones County Extension Office. Please call the office at 478-986-3958 to register or if you have questions you can email Michael Abney at mabneyl8®uga.edu.
