Mr. and Mrs. Jack D. Chapman, of Jones County, celebrated their 60th anniversary May 22. Jack Chapman and Melba Gordon Chapman were married 60 years ago at Plentitude Baptist Church in Jones County. Mr. Chapman is retired from Riverside Ford and Mrs. Chapman is retired from Belk Matthews in Macon. They are long time members of Plentitude Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World Fraternal Organization. Mr. Chapman is also retired from the Georgia National Guard.

Mr. Chapman is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lester Chapman. Mrs. Chapman is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. K.T. Gordon. The couple has two daughters, Dorothy (John) Terrell and Rita (Greg) Thompson and four grandchildren, Jessica Terrell, Jack Terrell, Andrew Thompson and Anna-Marie (Rutledge) Boykin.

The couple celebrated the day with a small family afternoon picnic at their home.
